Laguna Hills and Laguna Beach Engagement | Paul and Mina

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon when we met up with Paul, Mina and their awesome pug, Curly. We went to Laguna Hills for the first part of their engagement session where we had the beautiful Southern California sunshine. This trail area was very close to the beach which is the second location for the day.

We finished around 5:30PM and started to head to the beach when to our surprise, thick fog had rolled in to the beach! We thought it was going to be clear since it was so bright and sunny just a few miles away and being only about an hour earlier. I knew that they wanted to have a nice sunset type of look at the beach but I convinced them to get some photos with the fog and all. I knew I could get a different look but still create something fantastic for them.

We dropped Curly off at their place to give him a break. We then proceeded to get some photos into the night, utilizing our off camera lighting as it got darker and darker. At the end of the session, they were very happy and delightedly surprised with the type of beach look they got. Paul and Mina were troopers for getting their feet wet as it got pretty cold!

Thank you for choosing us to capture these special moments for you. We can not wait to be at your wedding!

Hope you guys enjoy these photos!

Back Bay Newport Engagement | Josh and Olivia

Our couple, Josh and Olivia, were going for a rustic look. Our bride to be was wearing her cowboy boots and we all agreed that Back Bay Newport would be a great fit for their engagement session.

My assistant and I arrived a few minutes early to walk around and choose some spots to frame them in. If you are not familiar with the area, Back Bay Newport is only a few miles away from busy John Wayne Airport. We had multiple planes fly by every few minutes. I instantly knew I wanted to get one photo with a plane flying in the background to give our couple a pretty cool and unique type of shot!

We spent most of our time with our couple just laughing our butts off! Josh knew exactly what to say to Olivia whenever we would tell him to "whisper a little something in her ear". Sure enough, as soon as he did, she would start smiling and laughing! It wasn't difficult to get "natural" smiles for the camera ;-)

We hope you enjoy the photos. I can't wait for their big day and we are truly thankful for being able to document all their special memories!

Congratulations once again Josh and Olivia!!
